Our Hope is Jesus!

Hope Baptist Church is located just south of Meadville, PA. We are an independent, fundamental, King James Bible believing church. We are dedicated to the Great Commission and would love for you to come and be a part of our loving church family.

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

Our Pastor

Hello, I'm Pastor Drew Henry. I have lived in Crawford County, PA most of my life. I grew up farming with my dad. God was always the center of our family life. As a teenager I had a strong desire to serve God with my life. When I graduated highschool, I went away to Bible college to earn a Bachelor's in Pastoral Theology. It was there I met my wife, Ashley, and we have been serving the Lord together ever since, now with five children by our sides.

OUR STORY

Shortly after my wife and I were married, we began seeking God's leading to possibly start a church in the Meadville area. He miraculously provided and opened doors, and Hope Baptist Church was born on October, 16th, 2016. We started in a rented building for two years. Then God brought us into contact with members of the former St. John's church, who were undergoing a merge with another church in town, leaving their beautiful, historic church empty. They strongly desired for the building and property to remain a church, and so graciously allowed us to buy their church at a fraction of it's worth. In August of 2018, Hope Baptist Church moved to this location at 7474 Mercer Pike. We have been blessed to be a part of the surrounding community and have made many dear friends. God has truly blessed beyond measure. The church has been growing, and we are excited to see what He has in store for the future!

OUR VALUES

The Bible is God's Word and therefore our source of inerrant, unchanging truth. We believe its every Word above all else and practice our faith accordingly. We also stand for the King James Version as the accurate and unbiased translation for English speaking people.

The Bible tells us clearly that salvation from our sin's penalty in Hell is made possible by the sinless life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Anyone can believe in Him and be saved. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Our greatest desire is for every person to come to know Jesus in a very real and personal way, because it will change their life forever.
